KOP Student Ball 2011

A well earned chance to spend some quality time with KOP friends old and new rounded off the first day of 2011's student conference rather nicely. 

Held in the Nottingham Park Plaza Hotel in the centre of Nottingham, students joined with staff and trustees for an evening of glitz, glamour and dancing. 

While the staff team took the chance to say thank you to the students for their months of hard work and fundraising it was also a great opportunity to catch up with friends made during the Summer Programme, many of whom hadn't seen each other since departing from Nairobi at the end of their KOP trip. The setting was somewhat different this time around but it was a night full of good cheer and happy reunions. Plus a 'Waka Waka' dance or three! 

"It's always lovely to see KOP students socialising and enjoying each others company and when groups and individuals from different universities can bond over their seperate experiences of KOP it's even better! We have so many students who are enthusiastic about and committed to the work that KOP does and giving them the chance to meet other students from the wider KOP network is fantastic", said Shona, KOP's Student and Communications Coordinator.
